Beamplitter Plates
Plate Beam Splitter consists of thin window. When using it, the two partial beams travel different optical paths. And the optical paths are decided on the thickness of plates and the incident angle. Beamsplitter plates can be used with high power lasers. When using beamsplitter plates, it is important to bear in mind that the two partial beams travel different optical paths. Polarizing Beamsplitter Cubes (PBS)

Polarizing beamsplitter cubes split randomly polarized beams into two orthogonal, linearly polarized components: S-polarized light is reflected at a 90 deg angle while P-polarized light is transmitted. Each beamsplitter consists of a pair of precision high tolerance right angle prisms cemented together with a dielectric coating on the hypotenuse of one of the prisms. A multi-layer antireflective coating has been applied to each face of the beamsplitter in order to produce maximum transmission efficiency.

Non-polarizing Beamsplitter Cube (NPBS)

Non-polarizing Beamsplitter Cube consists of a pair of precision high tolerance right angle prisms cemented together with a metallic-dielectric coating on the hypotenuse of one of the prisms. The low polarization dependence of the metallic-dielectric coating allows the transmission and reflection for S- and P- polarization states to be within 5% of each other. This means that they will not change the state of polarization of the incident beam.
